Need news-server to test XPAT.
(too old to reply)

I'm trying to add the "XPAT" command to my news-client,
but my server replies with "501"; ie. 'Command not supported'.
So I'm asking for the URI of a free-server which is known to
have the XPAT facility enabled. Please.

If I could access a server which handles the 'XPAT' facility,
I'd be able to hopefully complete the coding & testing of
this facility on my news-client software.

Also a pointer to eg. some linux client which does it already
would enable me to confirm.

Netscape's server "secnews.netscape.com" supports XPAT.

It is also useful for testing other cases
(a) It also supports XHDR for all headers.
(b) It does not include Xref in the XOVER response.
