What's up with the GRC news server. All weekend and again today cannot
send to the various newsgroups. And each time I click on a group, it
asks if I want to subscribe -- answer yes, and nothing occurs except it
shows all msgs on the server as unread. Answer no and the same occurs.
Also cannot send a msg to those groups.

Have read that currently a user name and password are required --
identical paraphrases of up to 30 characters. And to go to news.grc.com
for the info and if that is a site, it cannot be found by Mozilla 1.7.3.
When I subscribe to a new group, the same occurs -- it downloads all
msgs on the server and asks to subscribe (which has already been done,
except without a PW!)

Finally figured it out, thanks to Millie. Need to go into newsgroup
server settings and check "always use authentication. Use same verbiage
for both PW and username and allow PW mgr to store store the info.
