Hi all,

has anybody tried to use some standard antispam filter like
SpammAssassin, Vipul's Razor/Pyzor or DCC together with a
newsserver/newsreader? In m opinion, it would be ver efficient to use
such antispam solution together with NNTPCache. Perhaps the
administrator could feed Razor/Pyzor/DCC from e-mail spamtrap(s) as
well...

Any ideas?

Well, the requirements for filtering are different in email and
news, so I'm not sure if the tools would necessarily translate.

However, I think most people would say that Cleanfeed *is* a
standard filtering tool for news, perhaps you should look into
that first.

Usenet is way ahead of email in this respect - all the above use techniques
that were in use on Usenet before anyone applied them to email.

However, there are relatively few points of similarity between email spam
and Usenet spam other than their essentially "bulk" nature.
